Welcome to the CWAEmu Video Editor application.
Before you start filling out this application, there are a few things you should know:

1. CWAEmu is a volunteer effort. No income or salary is provided as compensation for anyone’s involvement.

2. Critiques and feedback are always given. You may be asked to make multiple tweaks or revisions before your video is used.

3. Videos created are owned and uploaded by CWAEmu. Videos created are to be used as CWAEmu marketing material and cannot be uploaded to a personal account without explicit permission. These videos can however be used on a personal portfolio or resumes.
As a Video Editor for CWAEmu, you’ll be working closely with the team to create professional videos on a regular basis to be used as marketing materials for the game. These videos can consist of advertisements, animated shorts, upcoming content announcements and other projects for the entertainment of our players

We are looking for a Video Editor with a professional level of skill who can create unique, cinematic, and entertaining shorts using more than typical gameplay recordings.

Application Requirements:
● Must be at least 13 years of age.
● Knowledge of professional cinematic techniques on at least an intermediate level.
● Ability to produce videos that meet or exceed the quality of those currently seen on the CWAEmu YouTube    Channel.
● Extensive skill in video editing programs such as Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premiere.
● Must be the primary owner of the computer used for sharing confidential files.
● Have sufficient time to dedicate for communication and discussion on top of the time used for video editing.

Resume Requirements

● Is English your first language?
● Are you comfortable with using voice chat?
● Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
● Have you worked in a team environment before?
● If so, how would you describe your experience on that team?
● ​What can you bring to the table as a Video Editor?

Video Experience:
● Do you have any previous experience with professional-grade video editing?
● Would you consider yourself as a beginner, intermediate, or as an expert when it comes to video editing    experience?
● What program do you use for creating videos?
● Do you have experience with creating cinematic animation?
● Do you have experience with CWAEmu’s game engine, Unity3D?
● What video editing projects have you worked on in the past? Please provide a link to three works of your choice,    as well as a link to your portfolio or YouTube channel where other work is shown.

Availability:
● What timezone are you in?
● When are you usually available at your computer?
● How much time can you commit to your job per week?
This application also contains an optional challenge which can be submitted with it.
Submit the result with answers to above questions.

Optional Challenge:
With the style, music, and content of your choice -- create a 30 to 60 second advertisement or short for CWAEmu. You can use videos on our own YouTube Channel for inspiration. After you are finished, upload this video to a hosting website of your choice and provide a link to it in your application.

This challenge is optional, but may provide greater chances of acceptance. If you choose to skip this challenge, you may be asked to complete it later upon reaching the testing process.

Extra Details:
● The video created should be no longer than 60 seconds, and demonstrate clear professional capability.
● If you choose to use music, avoid using copyrighted music in this video without explicit permission from the    owner. You may use any track from CWAEmu’s soundtrack or royalty free tracks.
● Your video will not be judged on the writing capability, only on the creativity and capability of video editing    techniques.

Inside the game we don't have advertisements, micro-transactions or anything else that would allow revenue.
All original assets (3d models, music, sound etc.) were made by DayBreak with the help of Lucasfilm.
We do not accept any monetary donations, everything is payed from our own pockets.
